The Portofino promontory is the small peninsula that stretches the open sea, between Camogli, on the Gulf of Genoa, and Santa Margherita Ligure, on the Gulf of Tigullio; Villa Cielomare is located in the Mortola fraction of San Rocco di Camogli. To reach San Rocco di Camogli, via car, guests need to exit the highway A12 (E80) at Recco. Leaving the highway guests need to proceed to the city center of Recco and take at the second roundabout, close to the seaside, Via Aurelia in the direction of Ruta di Camogli/Rapallo which is a road passing along the panoramic coastline of Recco and Camogli (ca. 4km from the center of Recco to Ruta di Camogli). Once arrived at Ruta di Camogli a right turn (before the tunnel) takes the driver onto the road which leads directly to San Rocco di Camogli (ca 2km).
Visitors approaching Villa Cielomare via car should be aware that cars need to be left or in San Rocco village (during week days) or just before the village (during week-ends and festive days). A large parking place is available just before the village. Once parked the car, the Villa can only be accessed by foot via a 10/15 minutes’ walk, along the breathtaking sea coastline, that plunges the visitor immediately into the atmosphere of the natural park of Portofino. Upon request The Villa staff can help the guests with transportation of luggage although it is recommended to use trolleys for visiting the Villa.
